How
did you get interested in skydiving?
My best friend, Slider, (who weighed 310 lbs.) wanted to go skydiving.
He said the weight limit was 230 lbs. for a tandem but if he made the
weight would I jump with him. After looking him up and down (and chuckling
to myself) I said "Sure", after all, it ain't gonna happen
right? WRONG!
Which
jump stands out the most?
The first and AFF 4. The first because it was, and the level 4 because
of a tension knot in the left brake which kept me from being able to
steer or flare. Exciting few seconds until I determined it was fixable
then rode in on half brakes afraid it would go back up through the grommet
and I wouldn't be able to flare. The instructor (who could see me coming
in on final with half brakes) was telling me on the radio "Release
the brakes, release the brakes, arms up" and I was screaming at
the radio "F**k you, f**k you. You don't know what I just went
through". Needless to say I was just a little bit excited at that
moment.
